I thought a dress that would show a lot of leg would be cool, so I came up with the half dress idea.  The 
leather is from a trenchcoat that has been bolted to a belt.  
We had a fire truck get rear ended by a delivery truck, and they replaced certain parts of it that were damaged.  I managed 
to get a hold of the parts they were going to throw out; namely a large section of aluminum diamond plate.  My sawz-all 
cuts through it easily, and while I can't weld it, I can shape it and bolt pieces together.  So I cut numerous rectangle 
pieces and bolted them to the trim of the dress with spikes.  Along the bottom trim is a half circle strip of diamond plate, 
again mounted with spikes.  This keeps the dress in it's half circle shape.  It can be worn to cover the right or left leg.
